Lynmouth Cottage is the perfect place to base yourselves as you explore Hobart. The house is centrally located, with MONA to the north, Salamanca and the Hobart CBD to the south, the airport to the east, and Mt Wellington to the west. It is also close to several sporting facilities including the Tasmanian Hockey Centre and Domain Tennis Centre.
Locally, it’s a short stroll to the Tracks Café at the gorgeous Station Garden Nursery, and to a shopping centre with all the conveniences. The Boathouse restaurant and playground are at the end of the street at Cornelian Bay.
A foreshore walking track and intercity cycleway go right past Lynmouth to Hobart town via the iconic Cornelian Bay Boatsheds, Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, and Hobart Aquatic Centre. Lynmouth is within the Hobart Scooter Zone, which makes travel all the more fun. Anyone over the age of 16 can hire Beam or Neuron scooters from anywhere throughout Hobart, simply download the app. You can also take bikes on the intercity cycleway in the opposite direction towards MONA.
